New Years Day 2017

We went to church to start the year off right.

Then took a nap and fun being silly.

Then we went to the Children's Museum like we did back in August. This place is so fun and Emma loves it. I can see us getting a yearly membership when she is no longer free.

 She got to color a picture of a dinosaur and then scan into the machine. It is hard to see but hers is under the pink sparkly one.

They also have a dino dig area, where kids can dig for bones, but we were not dressed for that type of play. I am excited to go back so she can try it. Hopefully we can go during spring break. It was a great start to a new year and the last day of Christmas break! 

Emma: 17 months old

According to "What to Expect the Toddler Years" here is where Emma is in her development. 

Emma is able to do all the things a 17 month old should be able to do including:

• use two words
• drink from a cup 

She is also able to do the only thing it says a toddler her age will probably be able to do which is:

• build a tower of two cubes

Emma can do all three things a toddler her age may possibly be able to do including:

• walk up steps 
• remove an article of clothing
• "feed" a doll

She can also do almost everything a 17 month old may even be able to do including:

• build a tower of four cubes
• identify two items in a picture by pointing
• combine words
• throw a ball overhand

She can't yet 

• speak and be understood half of the time

Christmas Break 2016 Fun (Part 2)

This post will cover the second half of Christmas break, which was the week between Christmas and New Years. Bobby was still off this week so we had lots of fun.

We went shopping, which she hates riding in the buggy now so that is always fun.

Emma loves all her new toys

The Tuesday after Christmas I got my top two wisdom teeth out. They look so dirty, it was so hard to clean back there. 

One day Emma woke up from her nap in such a bad mood. She refused to look at anybody and just cried and covered her eyes. 

She helped daddy with yard work one day. She was outside almost all day except for coming inside for a snack.

At least she picks up her mess. 

She thought her elephant needed some fresh air. 

She has really gotten in to reading books.

And loves her babies. 

We had a great break and I was so sad to see it end. It was even better because Bobby got be apart of almost all of it.
