Most babies will probably be able to:
- She can do:
- Sit in a high chair (since about 5 months)
- Open mouth for spoon
- Razz (she has learned to blow raspberries on our arms)
- Coo or babble when happy
- Smile often when interacting with you
- Explore by mouthing objects (everything goes in her mouth)
- Turn in the direction of a voice
- Bear weight on legs and bounce when held in standing position (she loves her door bouncer)
Half of all babies will be able to:
- She can do:
- Sit without support
- Look for a dropped object
- Rake an object with fingers and pick it up in her fist
- Pass a toy/object from one hand to another
- Babble: gaga, baba, mama, dada (dada is her favorite to say)
- Recognize books and the rhymes in those books
- She can't yet do:
- Object if you try to take away a toy (she probably could, but hasn't yet)
- Play along in a game of peekaboo (she will smile, but doesn't actually play)
Some babies will be able to:
- She can do:
- Crawl (since February 28th)
- Get into a sitting position form tummy (this has made bed/nap time difficult)
- Stand holding on to someone or something
- She can't yet do:
- Pull up to a standing position from sitting (she does this bend over halfway thing)
A few babies will be able to:
- She can do:
- Feed self finger foods
- Say "mama" or "dada" without meaning (dada is her favorite)
- She can't yet do:
- Clap hands or wave bye-bye
- Walk holding on to furniture (she can walk while holding our hands thought
