Emma: February 2016

Here is what Emma was up to the month of February.

She spent most of the month getting up on all fours and spinning in circles. She got pretty good at getting to what she wanted without actually crawling to get there.

She officially started crawling on the 28th, although she still hasn't gained much speed yet.

We started offering solids three times a day. At home we try to do Baby Led Weaning, which is where you offer them table food instead of purees. Here was her first sweet potatoes. They were a hit.

We battled another ear infection which is why her cheeks are so red. I am really hoping we are over the ear infections for this winter.

She still loves her daddy cuddles. He is also still her favorite person, even above mom unless she is hungry.

Still all smiles even with a double ear infection.

We did a full day of shopping one Saturday and when we were at Target she just laid down and went to sleep. It was so cute.

She still doesn't nap well at daycare (hoping to work this over spring break) so she normally passes out when we get home.

Sometimes, she doesn't even make it home. This was about 30 seconds after pulling out of the daycare parking lot. She can be super tired and will not go to sleep, but the moment she is still she is out.

We had to go to the doctor to make sure her eat infection was gone and she loved the tongue stick. She wouldn't put it down.

She was hard core teething all month. We finally had a top one start to pop out on the 28th. Still no bottom ones though. She loves frozen teething rings.

She rarely naps more than 30 to 45 minutes at a time, but on the 27th she took a 2+ hour nap. She probably would have slept longer but I had to wake her up so we could leave. Then the 28th she took a 1.5 hr nap at 9 and another 1.5 hr nap at 1:30 so I'm hoping she is finally starting to have a pattern and consolidating naps (will test during spring break).

She had her first french fry on the 27th. She loved it. She also likes to drink water out of my straw. But, only my straw, if i give her a sippy cup with a straw and water she isn't a big fan.

Such a drama queen. One her long naps!

We rarely get a good laugh out of her, she just ins't a laugher, but the 28th we were deep cleaning the house and Bobby was wearing her in our Lillebaby carrier, because she was being a grouch (we have reached the, if mom or dad isn't in the same room playing with me I'm going to cry stage). Anyways, I got some really good giggles out of her.
