Weekend With The Niece

After Ashley's wedding Bobby and I took Peyton for the night so Amber could have a night on the town. We had a blast!

First we got home, I left in a rush, so the apartment was kind of messy, and Peyton definitely let me know that I needed to clean. So while I cleaned, and Bobby took a nap, Peyton watched Rapunzel aka Tangled and colored in the princess coloring book.

Then when the movie was over she went to wake up Uncle Bobby so we could go swimming.

She had to spank him because he disobeyed her and wouldn't get out of bed.

We finally made it to the pool, which was a little chilly but the sun came out and it warmed it up by a few degrees.

Bobby jumped without Peyton and she got bad so he had to go again.

 Jumping take two...

We played mermaid, and getting captured by a shark (Bobby).

And of course you can't swim with Bobby without having an all out splash war.

Getting out to make foot prints. She was obsessed with making footprints anytime she got out of the pool.

 Her beloved footprints.

After about an hour of swimming she started shivering and we kept asking her if she was cold and wanted to go inside. She kept saying no. About ten minutes later she gets out of the pull then curls into a ball on the side shivering and says she is ready to go get pizza with red sauce.

I didn't realize the girl could eat so much. She ate three full slices of cheese pizza. After dinner we made brownies.

Of course you can't make brownies without getting to lick the spoon.

After the brownies we were watching Mulan and Peyton begged and begged Bobby for a back scratch, but she wasn't to keen on the flash from my camera. At this point she was getting tired.

We finally got to bed around 10 after she got to listen to Bobby play the guitar. When Bobby left for church Sunday morning around 8, he woke up Peyton and there was no getting her back to sleep so she watched 101 Dalmatians while I got ready for church. We really lucked out with the family channel having a Disney movie marathon. Whenever she wanted to watch a movie there was always one on. We are not big breakfast eaters in our house so I had the options of left over pizza or cereal. She chose pizza. She finished off the box and then ate half a carton of strawberries. Man she can eat! I forgot how long it takes to get a kid ready for anything so finally thirty minutes later we head to church. She wouldn't go to the nursery but she was really good during the service.

After church we went to Mcdonalds so she could play in the play place and then headed home so Amber could get her. We only had two small moments where she wanted mom that were quickly over when we made Peyton sandwiches.

It was a really great weekend, but a four year old is super exhausting.
