Emma: 14 Months Old

Emma turned 14 months on September 30th. Here is where she is with her development according to "What to Expect the Toddler Years"

Things toddlers her age should be able to do:

• She can do all of them
• wave bye-bye
• stand alone
• put an object into a container
• use mama/dada intentionally
• follow 1 step verbal commands without gestures

Things a 14 month old will probably be able to do:

• She can do all of them:
• bend over and pick up an object
• walk well

Things a toddler her age may possibly be able to do:

• She can do all of them:
• use an object in imitation
• say three words (bye, sit, down)

Things a toddler her age may even be able to do:

• She can't do any of them yet:
• build a tower of two cubes
• use 6 or more words
• run
• walk up steps
• follow a two step command without gestures
