Pregnancy #2: 26, 27, 28 and 29 Weeks

I was got really sick and was in the hospital for these weeks of pregnancy.

I was 26 weeks pregnant on January 30th.

According to thebump.com the baby is the size of a head of lettuce.

The Baby
His eyes are forming and will open soon, and he has eyelashes.
His immune system is getting ready by soaking up antibodies.
He is practice breathing and is around 14 in and 2 lbs. He is developing his senses.

I was 27 weeks pregnant on February 6th.

According to thebump the baby is the size of a rutabaga.

The Baby
He is practicing breathing, and his lungs are developing fast.
His brain is showing activity and will keep getting more advanced.
He is around 14 in in length and around 2 lbs, but is growing every day.

I was 28 weeks pregnant on February 13th.

According to thebump the baby is the size of an eggplant.

The Baby
He is starting to develop more fat, so his skin is getting smoother.
His lungs are mature enough that he would probably survive if he was born, but would probably need the help of a machine. (this was very comforting while in the hospital)
He weighs around 2 lbs and is around 14 in long.

I was 29 weeks pregnant on February 20th.

According to thebump the baby is the size of an acorn squash.

The Baby
He is around 16 in long and weighs around 3 lbs
He is growing really fast and could be getting cramped at this point.
He is growing fat deposits under his skin, which is giving him a lot of energy.

While in the hospital, on discharge day, they did a growth scan and he was measuring in the 24th percentile. The amniotic fluid level was a on the low side of normal at a 9 so the doctor wanted me to schedule a follow up with my specialist next week.
