Pregnancy #2: 31 Weeks and Specialist Appointment

I was 31 weeks pregnant on March 6th.

According to thebump.com thebaby is the size of a pineapple.

The Baby
He is between 15.2 and 16.7 in long and around 2.5 - 3.8 lbs.

He is still going through some major brain and nerve development.

His eyes are now reactive to light and all five of his senses are working, except he doesn't use the sense of smell yet, since he has no air.

I did a ton of spinning babies exercises over the weekend, especially knees to chest. I was really excited to see if he had flipped at the specialist appointment.

For a baby with down syndrome and heart issues, he is really strong and active. He would shake the whole hospital bed when I was there and now my belly moves so much it hurts sometimes.

The Mama
I went back to work this week. It was really tiring, but my kids where so excited to have me back that I had 0 issues. Next week is Spring Break so I will get another week to recooperate. I can finally sleep on my right side which has been heaven. One of my incisions will not stay closed and we have had to butterfly it twice.

We had out hospital tour on Saturday, and while we got the info we needed, it was just way too long for second time parents.

The Specialist Appointment
The baby looks good. His kidneys are now 100% and no longer have extra fluid on them. He is no longer breech! So the knees to chest paid off! We did the 20 minute monitoring. He wouldn't move so they had to buzz him with a vibrating buzzer and he did not like that.
