December 2017

December is always such a crazy month for us. We have so many things going on between, multiple Christmas', our anniversary and Christmas break that it is very exhausting.

At work it started with a a fire in one of the bathrooms so we had to evacuate to the high school for several hours.

Emma went through a phase this month of being 100% naked. She hated clothes of any kind.
We decorated for Christmas. We didn't put a tree up last year because our rental didn't have the space. Emma loved decorating this year.

A friend from school and myself took our department chair to a wreath making class for her Christmas present. It was so much fun, and it totally finished out our mantle.

She had a good month at daycare, although we have regressed in potty training since about Thanksgiving.

Her room pretty much stays a mess all of the time, but she is really learning to play by herself so I can live with the mess.
She loves her some bath time.

We went to Dallas three weekends in a row for various family events. The first was out nephew's first birthday.

Emma had her class Christmas party and since I had a doctor appointment that day I got to go.
She was so excited that I got to be there and kept saying "My mama's here"
Once Christmas break started she stopped napping, she has always been a horrible napper, but especially at home. I think over the whole two week break she napped 4 times maybe. This meant she passed out really early some nights.

Jumping on her Christmas present from Papa Lander.

 Exhausted from no nap.
Every year since Emma has been walking, we go to the Children's museum over Christmas break and she always loves it. We only go about twice a year, but its always a blast.

We started renovating the house over break and started with our master bath.
Mimi got her a horse which she quickly learned she can do tricks on.

No napping means she sleeps in later
She really got into taking care of her babies over break.

 New Year's Eve in Dallas.
Cousin's playroom means lots of new toys to play with.
